Solvent Treatments
Reliable Buff offers industry standard solvent dip treatments for 100% cotton & Poly Cotton Airway Buffs, Open Face Bias Sisal Wheels, and Bias Sisal Buffs. These treatments are designed to enhance the stiffness and durability of the wheels while adding compound retention. Solvent treatments are most suitable for liquid compound applications because the treatment allows the buffs to remain firm. However, many manual buffers using bar compounds find these treatments to be excellent because the buffs resist breaking down when the operators apply tremendous pressure.

included in our solvent treatment selections are the BT-419 Harley Brown, the D-50 treatments in Clear, Gold, and Red, and the ECCO Gold Flex.

Water Based Treatments
We are constantly expanding our water-based treatments due to the improvements offered to us by our chemical suppliers. For Sisal products, these treatments are extremely suitable because the sisal fibers expand and swell during the dipping process. The fibers are able to hold increased amounts of compound because of the treatment and therefore allows the wheels to produce excellent finishes with minimal compound applied.
ECCO Green - Produces a flexible, soft finish on Sisal & Cloth/Sisal buffs. Used on coloring applications.
ECCO Blue - This medium/hard treatment has great tackiness enabling the buffs to hold compound extremely well.
ECCO Purple - Produces a medium finish on Sisal & Cloth/Sisal buffs gives the wheels a waxy feel. Builds a great head.
ECCO Gold - This hard treatment gives little flexibility to the buffs. Excellent for heavy cutting.
